UNC vs. North Carolina Central

I know you wanted to hear even MORE about UNC  vs. NCCU! Some quick things:

Game @Dean Smith Center, Chapel Hill, N.C., 9 p.m. EST

NCCU Expected Starters:

6-5 Senior Forward Joshua Worthy
6-2 Junior Guard Vincent Davis
5-7 Junior Guard Michael Glasker
6-3 Junior Guard C.J. Wilkerson
6-8 Sophomore Forward T.J. Granger

The Eagles harbor a little more experience, if not as much talent as the Heels, though it looks like the size of UNC’s frontcourt could play a big role in the rebounding again. The Eagles are only in their third season of Division 1 classification, but that isn’t stopping them from taking on a bevy of ACC opponents this season: UNC, Miami, Va. Tech and N.C. State. NCCU will join the MEAC conference next season. I can’t say that I’ve seen them play,  but with the Eagles starting three experienced guards, it could cause some problems in the transition game. Against FIU the Heels coughed the ball up like they had swine flu. Against a guard-heavy team that could create some turnovers that lead to opposing layups.

They blinded him with science: First-year head coach LeVelle Moton is an alumnus of NCCU (’96) and their third all-time leading scorer. His nickname was “Poetry ‘n Moton.”
